Mark Harris Grae is the Founding Partner of Grae & Grae, LLC, which he formed in 2010. For the past decade, Mr. Grae devoted the entirety of his practice to becoming a leader in the highly particularized field of construction law. He counts among his clients major contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, owner’s representatives, architects, developers, and design professionals. Mr. Grae, unlike many of his industry contemporaries, represents contractors operating in both the private and public sectors. He represents clients on all of the legal matters that may arise during course of a construction project, from its inception through its completion. This includes contract review and negotiation, delay claims, disputed work claims, utility interference issues, and the day-to-day representation and support of his clients’ legal interests and needs. Having devoted the entirety of his legal career to the field of construction law, Mr. Grae is uniquely positioned to handle all of the myriad of issues arising during the course of a construction project.

Previn A. Waran is a Partner of Grae & Grae, LLC, who represents many prominent public and private sector contractors, subcontractors, and construction managers operating in and beyond the New York/Tri-State Area, as well as owners, architects and the design professional working alongside them. In his litigation practice, Mr. Waran handles the full diversity of construction-related matters, including those involving defective work, delay, and damages claims, bid protests, contractor and subcontractor disputes, lien foreclosures and discharges, government investigations and violations proceedings, and utility interference matters. Mr. Waran has successfully represented clients in litigations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution forums, and also negotiates and advises clients on agreements relating to construction projects, including luxury residential, commercial, and public developments. Mr. Waran is also responsible for the firm’s prosecution and defense of all labor and employment-related matters, and provides general counseling to his clients as to employment policies and best practices.
Prior to joining Grae & Grae, LLC, Mr. Waran was a member of the Labor and Employment Department of Proskauer Rose LLP, a premier international law firm, and thereafter practiced commercial litigation with a number of New York City based boutiques. Mr. Waran also served as Law Clerk to two federal judges, the Honorable Peter G. Sheridan, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, and the Honorable Ramon E. Reyes, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Like his colleague, Mark Harris Grae, Mr. Waran is a graduate of Columbia University, and also earned a master’s degree with honors from the London School of Economics and Political Science prior to pursuing his legal education at Brooklyn Law School. While at Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Waran was a member of the school’s nationally recognized Moot Court Honor Society.

Charles D. Mueller joined the law offices of Grae & Grae, LLC in 2021, and is committed to servicing the needs of the its clients with the same level of excellence for which the firm has come to be known within New York City and beyond. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mueller served as a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, handling myriad legal matters, and regularly advising the Court’s judges in their adjudication of various motions and appeals. In addition, Mr. Mueller worked as a Summer Associate with the Labor and Employment practice group of a midsize firm in his hometown of Rochester, New York, where he gained invaluable experience assisting with the litigation of a diversity of claims. Mr. Mueller is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton, and thereafter pursued his aspirations in the law at Seton Hall Law School, where he earned his law degree with honors. During his time at Seton Hall Law School, Mr. Mueller participated in various clinical externships by which he was afforded the unique opportunity to cultivate and hone his practical lawyering skills from a very early stage, including by appearing in court on behalf of numerous pro bono clients.
